An anhedral dihedral allowing it to be maneuverable and stable

Tips with a tolerant profile and twist to limit stalling during carves and when landing from a jump.

This particular geometry will allow you to navigate in a balanced manner whatever your speed.

Use of the wing according to sports:

  • wing

In wingfoil, it is a fast and maneuverable wing, it will allow you to sail in freeride from 15kts or 12kts in freerace. It is aimed at intermediate to expert users wishing to boost their navigation.

It will give pop to your foil and allow you to land.

You will be able to perform extreme carves without ever stalling.

  • Wind

In windfoil, it is a fast and stable wing, it will allow you to sail in freeride from 15 kts or from 12 kts in freerace. It is aimed at intermediate to expert users wishing to have a versatile wing capable of passing air gaps and accelerating in gusts. This wing will give you a neutral flight whatever your speed and will allow you to navigate comfortably.

  • Kitefoil

In kitefoil you can sail at all speeds in all wind conditions, this wing will allow you to carve and accelerate easily without any unwanted movements.

Because we have always believed in the performance and simplicity of T bars (the ENVOL in 2014, the LK1 in 2018 and the RACE 2021) we decided to create the HYDRO, a multidisciplinary T bar dedicated to performance in board sports such as Wing, surfing, kiting and much more.

CONSTRUCTION

When designing this T-bar, we put all our experience in composite R&D into creating a reliable, accessible and efficient product.

The T bar is manufactured in a one-piece aluminum mold in RTM, the fibers are draped in order to best take up and in a minimum of space the constraints that the foil will undergo during its use. Each ply of fabric was rigorously chosen thanks to numerous tests in navigation and on our in-house test benches.

All our Hydro T bars are constructed of high modulus M40J carbon fiber in areas requiring rigidity, high strength carbon fiber in highly stressed areas and AIREX PET core in neutral areas in order to flatten the fibers onto the mold footprint and gain mass.

Our new hydro is therefore a concentrate of technicality dedicated to amateurs and experts alike.

ADVANTAGE OF THE T-BAR

  • The connection between the mast and the fuselage is 100% optimized, the flows are not disturbed by assemblies and screws. Rigidity is increased by maintaining the continuity of the carbon fibers, moreover, there is no longer any adjustment that could cause play and wear over time.
  • The fuselage is thinner for better flow and better transmits the forces from the mast to the wings.
  • Installation time is reduced, there is no assembly to do, no screwing, reliability is assured.
  • The weight of the T bar is reduced by 20%, we can assure you of reliable foils at less than 3kg including wing and stabilizers, ergonomics and responsiveness in navigation is therefore clearly increased.
  • The cost of the wings is minimized, so to have a foil composed of several types of wings the overall budget is greatly reduced compared to a one-piece fuselage wing (price of a wing between 500 and 700 euros price of a one-piece fuselage wing €1,300).

DIMENSIONS

The fuselage has a single length of 66 cm between the leading edge of the wing and the trailing edge of the stabilizer. This dimension was determined in order to have maximum stability with ULTIMATE race wing assemblies and maximum maneuverability and acceleration with ACTIV or BUMP wings. So with one and the same T bar, you can use the entire range of LOKEFOIL wings while having the right balance in flight.

Our T Bar Hydro comes in different heights of 110cm, 100cm, 95cm, 90cm, 85cm, 80cm, 72cm.

Choose the Tbar according to your application and your desires and why not have several T bars? (the T bar at a base price of €1,440)

For RACE, we recommend a height of 110 or 100 cm in order to have an extreme restoring torque for maximum speed and increased stability, we advise you to use the wings from the ULTIMATE range.

For a Freeride and Freestyle application, we recommend masts ranging from 80 to 95 cm in order to have a good ratio between maneuverability for carving and speed for jumping, we advise you to associate these mast heights with the wings of the ACTIV range or BUMP.

For a surf and dock start application, we will favor shorter masts ranging from 72 to 80 cm in order to favor the maneuverability and pumping associated with the BUMP range of wings.

The HYDRO is therefore a versatile, rigid, high-performance T bar that allows you to operate all types of programs. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, the HYDRO will satisfy you and transmit your efforts directly to your wings without unwanted movements.

The BUMP Range was created especially for surfoiling by surfoilers. Nothing has been left to chance, every detail of the wings has been studied, tested and approved by our team of amateurs and experts. As in all our ranges, we offer you an easy, high-performance foil with a minimum of parts for the widest possible range of use.

This wing is perfect for pumping without getting tired, ideal for low wind conditions in WING, small waves in SURF or going for a dock start session. It flies at very low speed while maintaining gliding and maneuverability to intercept and follow the slightest undulations in the water.

It will turn your head, but especially your board. This highly maneuverable wing, which flies at very low speed, is perfect for wave conditions of 0.5m to 1.5m. A real toy as pleasant in SURFING as in WING.

The dihedral

The dihedral of your wing will influence the stability in curves.

ACTIV wings have straight tips.

With a plane dihedral, the vertical resultant decreases proportionally to the inclination of the wing. Piloting in curves requires being in opposition on the wing at moderate speed.

BUMP wings have raised tips

With the BUMP dihedral a vertical result appears at the wing tip creating additional support. This will allow the wing tip to pivot and maintain lift in low speed curves.

Outline

The outline will strongly influence the handling and glide of a wing. High aspect ratio allowing glide and lift to be maintained at low speed

  1. Low sag on the leading edge to favor pumping and maneuverability.
  2. Larger arrow on the tips. Increases stability and limits ventilation.
  3. Trailing edge with dropout to create a pressure differential and limit wing ventilation.

Tips

The geometry of the tips will affect ventilation and maneuverability.

The twisting of the tips limits the pressure at the wing tip and prevents stalling.

With our BUMP wings, we have created a high pressure zone that expels air bubbles.

Air bubbles are pushed out by the high pressures.

Profiles

The wing profiles will affect lift, low speed tolerance and glide.

The Bump profile has a low thickness in order to favor gliding.

 

The camber of the BUMP profile allows you to maintain lift at low speed and grip at high angles of attack.

Bumps

Bumps will influence low speed stalling, handling and stability in rough environments.

The BUMPS will create zones of high and low pressure causing disturbances on the extrados, these disturbances will allow the flow to be caught on the profile at high angles of incidence.

  1. We dented this area in which more than 80% of the wing’s lift occurs.
  2. On the wing tips subject to changes in the air/water environment, we have not put any bumps in order to have a homogeneous reduction in lift.
